Danny Gilbert Born January 13, 1949 in Gadsden, Alabama, Gilbert is a 1967 graduate of Geraldine High School where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. Gilbert also received All-County and All-State honors in football and was a 1967 Alabama High School All-Star. He was awarded a four-year football scholarship to the University of Alabama, and was three-year letterman and Permanent Team Captain in 1970-71. |

Porter Gilbert Born January 18, 1939 in Fort Payne, Porter played basketball and baseball at Geraldine High School where he was captain of the basketball team in 1956 and 1957. He was a member of the All- Tri-State basketball team in 1957, and was selected MVP of the 1957 Alabama State All-Star Game. Porter received an athletic scholarship from Auburn University where he earned six letters in two sports. He was on the SEC baseball champion Auburn team in 1960, and was co-captain of the basketball team in 1961. |

Jana Godwin A three-sport star at Fyffe High School, Godwin earned all-state honors in basketball and volleyball. She excelled in basketball, scoring 2298 points in her career and was a member of the 1986 state championship team. Godwin continued her career at Snead State College where she became the leading scorer in the school's history. In 1992, she was named Alabama junior college Player of the Year, and All-American. She was also named the top athlete in Alabama junior college athletics. Godwin concluded her career at Jacksonville State University where she became the first female athlete to ear letters in three sports. |

Charles Hood Played basketball at Collinsville and then Berry College. Earned his Masters Degree at the University of Alabama. Before retiring as basketball coach in 2009, he compiled a record of 715-284 during a 40 year career at Marietta (GA) High School. |

Kenny Howard Graduated from Crossville High School in 1944 and Auburn University in 1948. Served as head trainer at Auburn until 1975, and then Assistant Athletic Director. Served as trainer for the Blue-Gray Football All-Star Game and Senior Bowl for more than a decade. Served as trainer for the 1952 and 1976 U.S. Olympic Teams. Later served as Director of the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation. |

John E. Smith Graduated from Collinsville High School in 1946. Earned football scholarship to Jacksonville State University graduating in 1951. Won Georgia state championship in ladies basketball and named Coach of the Year in 1970. Named on of JSU's Centennial Athletes in 1987. |

Herman "Buck" Watson, Jr. All-State and All Tri-State in football for DeKalb County High School in 1951. Three-year letterman at Vanderbilt University. Played in the 1954 Blue-Gray Classic and was the first lineman drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1955 NFL draft. Later served as head coach of football, baseball, basketball and track at Lafayette (AL) High School. |
